 Pauly’s Butter-Blast Shrimp

1 pound shrimp-should serve 4

1 stick butter

1 egg

½ to 1 cup bread crumbs

Fresh basil, chives, oregano

Or

1 tsp each if dried

Peel, clean and rinse shrimp thoroughly. Beat egg. Add egg to shrimp and mix in bread crumbs. They aren’t supposed to be breaded, so just mix it in until there is a fair amount evenly dispersed. Turn on broiler. Place stick of butter in casserole dish and place under broiler. Pay close attention!! Once the butter is all melted, remove and add shrimp mixture. Broil for 5-10 minutes. Serve over rice, pasta, couscous, quinoa or something you love!!

Important tips!!
• Don’t let the butter burn or simmer, once it’s all melted remove right away
• Shrimp can be delicate. Place on the lowest or second lowest rack away from the broiler so they don’t burn.
